We are usually playing in the driveway when the school bus drops off our neighbor boy around 3. Every time Naomi says she want to go on the bus and go to school! I told her when she is 5 she can go on the bus.
"How old are you?"
"Two."
"When you are five you can go on the bus to school."
"Oh."
"Mommy will drive you to school now, while you're two."
"Now? Ok, go school!"
"Well not right now, on Thursday you get to go to school."
"Yay!"
Not quite sure she realizes that I don't stay with her at school...but at least she is way excited about going to school. Thursday is her orientation where she gets to meet her teacher, explore her classroom, and, most importantly, try out the bathroom. She is doing great with potty training and has come a long way in a week, but she sometimes gets too distracted with playing and forgets to go into the bathroom before it's too late. Case in point: this morning at Playdate they said she was standing at the top of the slide when she suddenly said, "PEE NOW!!" aaaannd then it ran down the slide...opps...sorry, Playdate. She did use their bathroom a few times after that, though. And yesterday she managed the 30 min drive to Wilson and back, 2 stores and a restaurant! Although in the 50 min at the restaurant we were in the bathroom 5 times, 3 of those false alarms. All these trips to the bathroom are a workout for me!
